Evenings in Bloom: Grow your skills (February 2026)

Step into the Orangery at Llandough Castle for our four-week advanced school series: Evenings in Bloom - Grow your skills.

We will be teaching a range of skills and practical, hands-on lessons to give you plenty of confidence when it comes to creating magic with flowers. Tea, coffee and biscuits provided, along with tools and sundries. Only 10 x places available.

Spring Term 2026 Dates:

Week 1: Tuesday 3rd February 2026 - 6:30pm-8:30pm

Week 2: Tuesday 10th February 2026 - 6:30pm-8:30pm

Week 3: Tuesday 17th February 2026 - 6:30pm-8:30pm

Week 4: Tuesday 24th February 2026 - 6:30pm-8:30pm

Location: All classes will be held in the Orangery at Llandough Castle, nr Cowdbridge (CF71 7LR). Please find our location using Google Maps, or by using What3Words.

 

Brief Course Outline:

Week One (Tuesday 3rd February 2026 - 6:30pm-8:30pm): 

We’ll start the course by creating a beautiful meadow box using sustainable techniques. It’s a lovely, relaxed way to explore natural floristry, and your design will look gorgeous both on the floor and at table height.

Week Two (Tuesday 10th February 2026 - 6:30pm-8:30pm):

This week is all about coming together. You’ll make your own low table arrangement, and then we’ll join everyone’s designs to create one long, lush garland. You’ll also learn how to make a soft, flowing floral cascade - a real favourite!

Week Three (Tuesday 17th February 2026 - 6:30pm-8:30pm)

A really fun session where we dive into floral wearables. Think flower cuffs, headbands, hair combs and buttonholes, delicate pieces that are beautiful to create and even lovelier to wear.

Week Four (Tuesday 24th February 2026 - 6:30pm-8:30pm)

We’ll finish the course with something exciting: installation work. Working in pairs, you’ll create a climbing floral display on one of our pillars. A great introduction to larger-scale event floristry.
