Back due to popularity! Step into the Orangery at Llandough Castle for our four-week mini night school series: Evenings in Bloom
We will be teaching a range of skills and practical, hands-on lessons to give you plenty of confidence when it comes to creating magic with flowers. Tea, coffee and biscuits provided, along with tools and sundries. We will also be sharing with you a wonderful branded tote bag at your first session, containing our hand-picked floristry starter kit - including a pair of professional Niwaki scissors (worth £42). Full price includes all 4 x sessions. Very limited slots available as this is a small, intimate learning environment.

Week 1: Tuesday 8th September - 6:00pm-9:00pm (*longer introduction session)

Brief Curriculum Outline:
Week One:
In our extended first class, we'll discuss how we source inspiration and introduce you to flowers and foliage, with a brief introduction to foraging. Our practicals involve conditioning flowers correctly for longevity, before creating vase arrangements and smaller, complementing bud vases (which you can take home).
Week Two:
The lesson begins with the importance of using sustainable floristry in your practice. We'll show you our trusted tools for Sustainable Floristry Mechanics. In your practical, you'll create centrepieces and a compote bowl to take home.
Week Three:
We'll teach you how to choose flowers for an arrangement, considering the shape, texture, colour, seasonality and longevity. I'll share my florist's guide to creating the perfect hand-tied bouquet and gift wrapping it, before you create your own to take home.
Week Four:
Team work is key in floristry. In our final week, the practical will involve working to a brief in teams of two, to create a large urn display. We'll end with a photography session to capture your work, and part with a farewell gift.
